How it works

  1. It arrives

    When the day ends, that day's photos arrive as one pack. A pack holds about 100 photos.

  2. Open and swipe

    Pull the tape and the photos come out one at a time. Swipe left to let go, right to favorite, down to put it back in the pack. One second per photo. You can undo.

  3. Reseal

    Reseal the pack with the photos that are left. 113 → 38. The sealed pack goes on your shelf as a record of the day you cleaned up.

Seal it, and your Photos app gets lighter.

The 75 photos you let go free up space in the Photos app. You can reseal even if you let go of none.

You decide

  • Only the photos you swipe left are let go. You can also put every photo back and seal the pack.
  • Deleting happens once, when you seal, and goes through iPhone's confirmation dialog.
  • Photos you let go move to Recently Deleted in the Photos app and are permanently deleted after about 30 days. After that, they can't be recovered.
  • Before you seal, you can review the photos you're letting go. Choose "Seal without letting go" and nothing is deleted.
  • Swiping right adds a ★ in the Photos app too. That ★ and deleting the photos you let go are the only changes DAYPACK makes to the Photos app.
  • Your photos are never sent outside the app. Pack records stay on your iPhone and in your iCloud.

What's free

Opening, sorting, and sealing (deleting) are free, and they will stay free.

FAQ

Where are my photos stored?

They stay in the Photos app. DAYPACK doesn't copy or move them. A pack is a record of that day's photos and which ones you let go or put back.

Are photos I let go deleted right away?

When you seal, iPhone asks you to confirm. Once you approve, they move to Recently Deleted in the Photos app and are permanently deleted after about 30 days. After that, they can't be recovered.

Can I put every photo back and seal the pack?

Yes. You can reseal even with no photos to let go. The pack still goes on your shelf.

Do I have to open a pack every day?

No. Packs you don't open stay sealed on your shelf. Open them whenever you like, several at once if you want. Notifications are off by default.

Can I clean up older photos too?

Yes. You can open any day's pack from the calendar on your shelf.

What happens if I delete the app?

Your photos stay in the Photos app. Only the pack records are removed.
